Weekend Round Up
It was a busy weekend in New York City with finals at the US Open tennis tournament, the conclusion of New York Fashion Week and the MTV Video Music Awards. Here’s what we loved.
A New Era in Women’s Tennis?
Three cheers for Emma Raducanu who prevailed to win the women’s US Open tennis final over Leylah Fernandez. Along with phenomenal tennis, their grit and infectious personalities won each player fans as they progressed through the tournament. Both teenagers have been forthright about how hard work and personal sacrifice played a role in their journey to the grand slam final. Noticeably missing? On-court drama like political statements and umpire disputes.

Best Looks From New York Fashion Week
Showing in-person for the first time in 18 months, New York Fashion Week closed on Sunday, September 12th. Our favorite shows featured wearable, timely clothes -- each had a memorable production.

Billy Eilish Being Herself
As usual, gauche caricatures of high fashion and gowns that left little to the imagination dominated the VMA red carpet. Billy Eilish eschewed all of that, instead opting for a fall-ready black dress and boots. Bravo!
